Zack Buster, Editor-in-Chief
Zack Buster was a prolific student at Anne Arundel Community College who worked as the editor-in-chief of Campus Current until resigning on March 31, 2023, to run for and serve as Student Government Association President for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Zack started attending AACC in 2021 as a communications student and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, campus ambassadors, Swoop Squad social media team, student orientation leader, and bridge-to-success summer mentor. He also served on multiple administrative and policy committees as SGA president.
After graduating from AACC in May of 2024, Buster transferred to the University of Maryland, College Park as a Frederick Douglass Scholar studying in a dual degree program to earn a bachelors degree in sociology and a master of public policy. (MPP) While at the state school, he was elected to the University Senate, the institution’s chief policy-making body. Throughout his studies, Zack worked in each branch of government—legislative, executive and judicial.
Buster intends to continue his lifelong journey of public service and leadership by working in government to solve social problems with people-centered policy solutions.
