The National Junior College Athletic Association dubbed four AACC basketball players All-Region for their performances this season.

Two women’s players, Ayannah Gorham and Bianca Garin, and two men’s players, Kris Peet and Jeremiah Stroman, are part of the All-Region 20 team.

Gorham had an average of 14 rebounds and 17.7 points a game. Garin had an average of 4.3 rebounds and 16.2 points a game.

“I was just, like, surprised,” Garin, a second-year medical student and shooting guard, said. “I just really want to win and that’s why I’m, like, giving it my all every single game.”

Stroman averaged 6.6 rebounds and 19.2 points a game. Peet averaged 7.8 rebounds and 17.6 points a game.

“I didn’t expect to be nominated,” Stroman, a first-year business studies student and forward, said.

Women’s basketball finished its season in February with a 3-18 record, failing to qualify for playoffs.

Men’s basketball ended its season with a 9-16 record.
