The Campus Activities Board hosted a free photo keychain giveaway event in SUN on Wednesday.

Students waited in a line to have their picture taken and out in a plastic key chain.

“School can be hard and being involved creates a good sense of community,” said Kristin Kohout, a second-year business student and CAB social media director.

CAB, a student club at AACC, is hosting several free events across campus the first few weeks of the new semester.

“When you’re more involved in activities you are more involved in the school,” said Zaid Abushi, a third-year civil engineering student. “[Being involved] builds relationships.”

The next CAB event is a cookout that will take place tomorrow on the Quad at noon, according to the Nest website.

Kohout said on September 11,, 12 and 14 CAB is serving ice cream in CALT, a food truck festival in the back of Parking Lot A and showing of the movie Coco in the amphitheater at sunset, all events are free.

If you are interested in joining CAB the group meets in SUN 102 every Monday at 2 p.m.
