A job internship fair has been held at Anne Arundel Community College for 2 years now, but this year was the first time all schools of instruction were invited.

Many employers such as Anne Arundel Medical Center, Six Flags, Bello Machre and The Well attended the event. A representative for each company was present to answer any questions one might have, and to also better help people understand what other opportunities may or may not be available to them.

“We strive to find the giftedness and treasure that is currently inside of every woman. We equip women for life.” Said, Mandy Memmel,Founder and Executive Director of The Well.

Generally, the organizations that were present enjoy coming to this event.

“We value our relationship and partnerships with Anne Arundel Community College, and we love to find hard working volunteers who help to make our community even that much better.” Said, Tracy Lynott, Director of Development for Bello Machre.

Students also seemed to enjoy the event, with a decent showing, many took the opportunity to further what they may already know about the companies or groups.

“It’s definitely something that presents a lot of opportunities and I would recommend it to anyone.” Said, Patrick Harral, a current student at Anne Arundel Community College, who was attending the event for the first time.

“Having a place where more than one person or group is available to speak to and ask questions, can be very important to up and coming students.” Said, Shraddha M, who was also attending for the first time.

The job internship fair helped many the past 2 years and is a great tool for building connections and finding out just what the world has to offer. The event will be returning next year, if this is something that may interest you.
