At AACC’s annual community service fair on Feb. 7, students learned leadership skills, resume building and scholarship opportunities.

The community service fair allowed students the chance to talk to AACC partnering community groups. At the fair, students were given a chance to volunteer in the surrounding communities.

“I think it’s good to have most of the services all in one place,” said Sasha Stevens, a first-year student at AACC. “It gives students like myself a chance to see what is out there.”

The fair hosted nearly 20 volunteer opportunities. Some organizations included in the fair were National Wildlife Refuge, the AVID program at MacArthur Middle School, and Hope For All, a community service that provides basic needs for people throughout Anne Arundel County and Baltimore city.

Not only did students have the chance to volunteer on the Arnold campus, but also for service learning opportunities at off-campus locations, such as Arundel Mills.

The Ambassador Campus Team was in attendance, telling students how they can volunteer for the campus team and get involved.

Students who missed the fair can visit CRSC 314 to learn more about getting involved.
