Students can nominate themselves and others for Student Government Association president until April 5.

The SGA will also take nominations for executive vice president as well as vice presidents of campus activities; public relations; outreach and engagement; finance; and diversity, equity and inclusion.

“SGA is the voice of the student body and also is the liaison between, like, staff and students,” SGA President Abigail Billovits-Hayes said.

The annual SGA election will run from April 24 to 28 online.

Billovits-Hayes, along with the majority of this year’s SGA officers, will step down at the end of the semester.

Billovits-Hayes said students interested in serving on SGA should “think of what their own skills are and what they are going to bring to the college. …  So being able to sell yourself and know your platform ahead of time, I think is important.”

The SGA will hold a second election in the fall for up to 15 senators, who can nominate themselves at that time.

Candidates may campaign from April 3-21. New SGA officers assume their roles on June 1.
