The Riverhawks women’s team finished with a 8-16 record in the regular season, which is an improvement from last year.

Head coach Lionel Makell said one thing the team did well this year was playing until the end.

“The strongest thing was their hustle, determination [and] just [a] never quit attitude,” Makell noted.

The Riverhawks lost 70-43 on Feb. 25 to the Butler County Community College Pioneers for the second straight year in the National Junior College Athletic Association seminfinals.
