The AACC Women’s Volleyball team won their first game of the season on Monday against Allegany College of Maryland.
In a best of five game match, the Riverhawks won three games to none. They won by a score of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-16.
“It feels good to get it in and out of the way,” said head coach Gregory McDivitt. “We looked solid all the way around.”
“I was feeling great,” said first-year nursing student Tara Gabrielsen who served a 10-point streak including three aces in the first game.
“It felt good to end off strong,” said Serena Hochmuth, a first-year nursing student after ending the game serving four straight aces, “we hope to win the next game.”
The Women’s Volleyball team is now 1-5 this season. Their next home game is Wednesday night at 6:00 P.M.
