Students got free hot chocolate and personalized mugs in the SUN Dining Hall on Jan. 24.

“Who wouldn’t want their face on a cup?” Darell Lamberth, a second-year communications student, said.

The Campus Activities Board—a student club which organizes many activities on campus—arranged for the party planning company Entertainment Avenue to personalize the mugs with students’ photos.

“Hosting events is fun, I like talking to people and getting out of my comfort zone,” CAB member and first-year undecided student Katrina Murphy said.

Students posed in front of a green screen, then chose between space or a snowy winter scene as the background for their photo on the mug. The process took about ten minutes.

“I’m obsessed with mugs,” Emily Thompson, a second-year nursing student, said. “[This event] is amazing.”
