The college’s athletic department in October released the AACC Front Row app, a place for students to get live updates about AACC sports.

According to Sports Information Specialist Zachary Malone, the Front Row app connects to the AACC athletics’ website via the Presto network.

Malone said the app is also capable of connecting to the athletic department’s social media, so the user can view live stats of each home game from the department’s Twitter account.

While Presto created the app, Malone specified which features would be useful for students.
“The app, it’s so user-friendly, it’s so easy to use and it’s pretty sleek looking, so it’s hopefully getting out there,” Malone said.

The app lets students pick their favorite sports and receive notifications of news and stats updates.
“This generation loves technology,” AACC Men’s Soccer head coach Nick Cosentino said. “Any time you incorporate technology; it becomes a social thing.”

“I haven’t gotten it [the app] but I didn’t really look into it. I saw it on the [AACC] athletic website though,” Larry Stevenson, a sophomore and player on the men’s basketball team said.

Students can download the AACC Front Row app from the application store on their cellphone or mobile device.
