Registration Blitz

From April 27 to May 2, AACC will be hosting a Registration Blitz Week.

“This is a benefit for the students because [they] will be able to register early for classes plus their bill won’t be due until July 9,” said Frances Turcott, director of adult learning. “Students will be able to talk to their instructors in their program of study.”

After a few years of the business department doing registration blitzes, “the other departments saw what a success and wanted to hold a blitz as well.”

The problem with that was that there were too many departments popping up like peonies around campus. It started to become messy, so the Vice President of Learning, Karen Hayes tapped on Turcott and asked that she and her team organize everything.

Besides the opportunity of early registration and a longer pay period, “The other thing is that students’ names will be entered into a raffle to win a $50 book voucher,” said Turcott. “There will be six winners. If students, they will receive a coupon for pizza and a beverage from dining services.”

There will be other registration events taking places, this is not the one and only and naturally, students can always register for fall classes during the summer.

The opening date of the registration blitz coordinates with the arrival the fall schedules. This opportunity will be available for the Arundel Mills and Arnold campus.
