Welcome back to “In Case You Missed It,” your monthly pop culture news recap written by yours truly. It’s been a busy month in Hollywood, and I am here to catch you up! From new Disney movies to Lamar Odom’s brush with death, and of course a newly selected Idiot of the Month, we’ve got it all.

The most exciting thing to happen over the past month is Disney Pixar’s announcement of release dates for their upcoming films. The Good Dinosaur, which comes out this year on Thanksgiving, was originally supposed to come out this past May. Along the way, they replaced the director and Pixar scrambled to pick up the pieces. Perhaps the most anticipated film, Finding Dory, will come out in June of 2016, and Cars 3 (groan) will come out a year later.

In November of 2017 we’ll see an original Pixar film – Coco. Every Pixar film starts with a “what if?” – What if the toys come alive when we leave the room? What if the monsters in the closet were real? For Coco this question is: What if you could meet your long dead family members? This film will represent the Mexican holiday Dia De Los Muertos, which the director described as a “big family reunion between the living and the dead.”

Then, in June 2018 and 2019 respectively we’ll get Toy Story 4 and The Incredibles 2. While I’m downright disgusted at another Cars installment, I don’t know that Pixar will be able to sell me on Toy Story 4. Didn’t they wrap up the story so perfectly with the trilogy? Why are we pressing forward? Andy is happy, the toys are happy, the audience is happy! What could another movie possibly hold? I suppose time will tell.

Newly announced expecting celebrities include Backstreets Boys alum, Nick Carter, and his wife Lauren Kitt; celebrity power couple John Legend and Chrissy Teagan; actress Rose Byrne and her boyfriend Bobby Cannavale; and actress Emilie De Ravin and her boyfriend Eric Bilitch. Jessa Duggar Seewald, the fifth child of Michelle and Jim Bob, could pop any day now. I’m sure the news will come as soon as this issue is on the stands!

Lamar Odom, former basketball star and ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian, was hospitalized on October 13th after being found unconscious in a brothel due to a drug overdose. He spent four days in a coma, finally waking to speak his first words to his estranged wife. Odom continues to insist he does not have a substance abuse problem, while Kardashian insists he should go to rehab. A source claimed Odom referred to this incident as his “rock bottom” and “a blessing in disguise.” Since a judge never officially signed their divorce papers, it’s Kardashian who legally made medical decisions on her ex’s behalf. The latest news is that Odom has been taken off dialysis and is no longer in need of a kidney transplant. According to an insider, “he is getting stronger every day.”

Other highlights this month included Selena Gomez revealing she underwent chemotherapy after being diagnosed with lupus, Reese Witherspoon saying in an interview she was “ready for Legally Blonde 3,” and of course the world seeing Justin’s little Bieber. Ah, the Internet. What would we do without it?

Finally, November’s Idiot of the Month award goes to Rapper T.I. for saying he wouldn’t vote for Hilary Clinton because she is a woman. He stated, “I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally.” Thank you, T.I. It is clear all women are the same. I’m sure the women you are hanging out with are respected politicians. I just know that rich douche bags make really idiotic statements.
